Frequently Asked Questions

Does donating my eggs impact my own fertility?

As long as there are no complications during the process, egg donation should not impact your fertility. If a serious complication occurs, it could jeopardize your ability to conceive, however serious complications from egg donation are not considered the ‘norm.’ *We strongly encourage all Egg Donors to review all the risks with their medical practitioner to ensure they are educated and fully informed.

Is there any way I could become legally responsible for the child made with my eggs?

No. You and the Recipients of your eggs will sign a contract that frees you of any legal responsibility. Fearless will ensure you have legal representation specializing in the area of egg donation that will review your rights, responsibilities and legal obligations.

Am I expected to carry the pregnancy as well?

Absolutely not. Egg donation is only the process of extracting your eggs. The process of carrying a pregnancy for someone else is called surrogacy. To learn more about surrogacy, click here.

Can I donate more than once?

Yes. Provided there are no changes that would render you unqualified, you can repeat the process again. Each fertility clinic and each doctor will have opinions and guidelines about the maximum number of times you may donate, and should review this with you before moving forward. *Fearless encourages every donor to consult with their doctor, research the risks and make an informed decision before moving forward with any egg donation.
