Medical Information:
General Health:
Our general health is pretty good!
Fertility Information:
We have 5 PGS tested embryos, considered by our clinic as "great quality". In addition, we have 1 embryo of slighter poorer quality but also transferrable. We are using donor eggs from a known donor, which was super important to us and our future child. We believe knowing your origins and your true story is key.

Why are you looking for a Surrogate?
As a French same sex couple, altruistic surrogacy in Canada is the path for us to build our family through a journey we will feel proud to share. So far, we have met many amazing women on this journey (true angels!) and our dream for a future family is stronger than ever :)
Tell us about your family & loved ones.
We have the chance to be surrounded by a loving family on both sides. They are supporting us through this process, knowing that our journey might not be always easy. We know they will be with us no matter what, and they are super excited for us. We both have one brother. Nicolas is the youngest and his brother is already married and has 2 children. Guillaume is the oldest, and his brother lives nearby, we see him quite often. We value our relationships with our friends, and share this journey with them. They are also super supportive.
Would you like to attend appointments with your Surrogate?
Yes, we would love to attend some key appointments either virtually or in person.
What are your thoughts on termination of a pregnancy due to genetic abnormalities or complications related to the pregnancy?
In case of genetic abnormalities or complications related to the pregnancy, we would not continue the pregnancy if it impacts the quality of life of the future child later or the health of the Surrogate.
If the Surrogate becomes pregnant with multiples, how would you feel? How do you feel about the possibility of selective reduction being recommended due to a multiple pregnancy?
We are not afraid of multiples however health of the Surrogate goes first. This is why we are ok for the possibility of selective reduction if recommended by the clinic and if the Surrogate agrees.
Are you vaccinated for Covid-19? Do you have a preference for a Surrogate to have been vaccinated for Covid-19?
Yes we both are vaccinated and we have no preference concerning the Surrogate. Vaccinated or not, both fine for us.
What kind of relationship do you want to have with your Surrogate during the pregnancy?
Communication is one of our values and we believe is key through this journey. We hope that a strong bond will be built between the Surrogate (and her family) and us, with mutual respect and trust. We will support the Surrogate to the best we can, being able to listen and to discuss things as they arise.
Do you want to be in the delivery room when your child is born?
Yes we would love to be there to support her is she is okay with it. This will be the memory of a lifetime!
What kind of relationship do you hope to have with your Surrogate after the birth of your child?
We are not only looking for a Surrogate, but for a person who will be part of our family. From the beginning, we are building our family story to make sure our child will know its origins (known donor) and of course the story and connection with the Surrogate who makes all this possible. After the birth and if the Surrogate agrees, we hope to continue being in touch, sharing pictures and visiting each other. It will depend on the Surrogate wishes too :)
Would you be open to a home birth?
We feel it might be safer to give birth at a hospital with everything around in case anything happened, for the safety of both the Surrogate and the child. But we are open to the idea if it's important for the Surrogate and if all safety conditions are met.
Are you open to midwifery care?
Yes, the more the Surrogate feels comfortable the better.
Would you like your Surrogate to provide breastmilk?
Yes, if the Surrogate would like to. While we will still be in Canada, we would appreciate if the Surrogate could provide breast milk. If the Surrogate is not willing to pump breast milk, we will look for another option on our side.
What will you tell the child about the Surrogate, and the circumstances of their birth? If your child asks to meet the Surrogate, how will you feel?
Simply the truth, explaining that as a same sex couple with a lot of love, this child was super desired but we needed the help of different women to make this journey possible. Among these women, the Surrogate was the one who carried her/him and helped to make an amazing gift by giving birth.
We are more than ok with the child meeting the Surrogate, as we consider the Surrogate will be part of our family.
If the transfer is unsuccessful, will you want to try again? If so, how soon after?
Yes we will try again, as soon as the Surrogate and the clinic are ready.
If this surrogacy journey is successful, would you want to complete a sibling journey? What do you envision that looking like? (timeline, same Surrogate etc.)
Ideally yes, we would like to have 2 kids. Nevertheless, we want first to start with one and see how everything goes. We do know that this adventure is about to change our lives and we will start with one child. Then we will see. No timeline in mind as we don't even know when the first journey will start ;-).
What are your plans for childcare once the child is born?
In France, we are lucky enough to have plenty of options. Our plan would be for both of us to work less and take time to enjoy parenthood, this is the purpose of all this. We also have friends and family nearby who are able to support if we feel too tired sometimes.
What does a typical weekend look like for you?
Very often, if we are not traveling too much during the week, we have dinner with friends on Friday night. Could be a restaurant, us inviting them to our place or going to visit them. Then, Saturday morning we start preparing the shopping list for the market! If we are home we always go on Saturday morning to the market to buy our vegetables, cheese, flowers and so on. We pass by the supermarket if needed, buy the bread on our way back home and start our day.
Then it differs if we have people coming to our place for dinner, we will cook! If we are invited to our friends, we might enjoy the afternoon and go for a walk.
We still go sometimes to museums, theatre, cinema. We love antiques and flea markets. If it's raining, it can go from Netflix and chill on the bed with the projector to doing some DIY projects around the house.
Sunday on the other hand is usually the day we sleep later to recharge our batteries. (Even if Guillaume very often still wakes up at the same time super early :-) ) Sunday is always a slow day, we take time to listen to music and cook lunch, often having Guillaume's brother and his girlfriend for lunch and we play boardgames together in the afternoon. Nicolas often tries to negotiate a trip to the plant shop which is always open on Sunday! (Apparently we can always buy a new one!)
Sunday night goes with taking care of us, bath, shower, skin care, early dinner and movie in bed.
What are some of your interests/ activities?
For sport, Guillaume enjoys going to Bootcamp, indoor cycling or joining Nicolas who's more into swimming & going to a gym. For interests, we both listen to a lot of music and podcasts. We do not have TV at home so we always have something on the speakers. For activities, we do try a lot of things- pottery, painting, taking pictures, doing also a lot of DIY, boardgames with friends and family. We both like to cook a lot- pastries, dessert, main courses...
We also both like plants now, it was more Nico's thing but Guillaume is now also into it!
So we take care of our plants, we buy new ones, we grow our own... looking forward to having a garden!
Other fun facts:
We don’t have any pets yet, but given our personalities, I'm pretty sure one day we will have a Golden Retriever :-) Guillaume loves Asian Food in general and Korean in particular. Nicolas loves Wiener Schnitzel with cucumber salad (google it if you don't know yet it's so yummy) my version of Croque Monsieur (you can not google it but I can cook it for you when we'll meet ;-) )
We think we as a couple are stronger than ever because :
- We have kayaked in Canada for 3 days in a duo Kayak and we still love each other ! (it really was lot of fun)
- Nicolas chose once to go on a 10 day trek in North India in high altitude and we were both sleeping in a very ‘rustic’ guesthouse with no amenities like toilet, tap water, bathrooms or electricity! We stayed there for 10 days (and it was probably one of our best experience so far)
- Then Guillaume returned from this Indian cold and uncomfortable trip and we went to Sicily for a summer holiday where we experienced 50 degrees hiking volcanos (Nicolas was melting...)
“We already thank you for what you are about to do. If you read this, you are about to be a Surrogate, for another couple/person or maybe for us. Whomever you choose, you can be super proud of yourself and what you are doing. The gift you are about to give is priceless. You're about to change some peoples life and bring a new life on earth. Bravo.
We hope we'll find a woman like you to help us. We are so looking forward to it. We will have to manage our impatience - not because we are impatient but because this journey is so meaningful to us that we are looking forward to meeting you and your family.
Feel free to reach out if you have any question and if you want to be part of our journey :-)
Nicolas & Guillaume”
