Dear Surrogate,

Thank you for reading our profile and this letter. We are Nicolas & Guillaume, a happy French couple living near Paris. We met 4 years ago and we are planning our wedding this September!

Guillaume is 33, he is originally from south of France and Nicolas is 37, coming from the northern part of France. We met just after the first Covid lockdown, on a dating app during summer. We actually matched but right after we were both traveling to different places for the holidays, thus we discussed quite a lot during 3 weeks to finally have our first date at the Jardin du Luxembourg, such a romantic place in the heart of Paris… And fun fact: we were having a drink and got attacked by many bees… but we got through that ;)

As a couple,  we are quite complementary. For holidays, Nicolas would prefer the cold destinations whereas Guillaume is into beach and sun. It’s safe to say we both have a ‘golden retriever energy and spirit’, ready to explore new countries and talk a lot to people! Each of us has 1 brother, of whom we are very close. Nico’s brother already has 2 daughters, who we like to spend time with.

We are happily in love and in the early days of our relationship, we discussed our common wish to build a family. In France, it’s not that simple and there is still discrimination for same sex couples to adapt. This is why when we heard about Canada and Surrogacy, we thought this could make our dream possible.

Where are we now in our journey?

We started our journey a year ago now, first looking at our options for same sex couples in France and quickly, we focused our energy on Canada and Surrogacy.

We visited Canada last year to be sure of our decision - knowing we were already deeply touched by the philosophy around the way surrogacy is managed in Canada.

So far we have been helped by many amazing women, from our female lead clinic (Anova in Toronto) to donor agency, and we are happy to have 5 PGT-A tested embryos.

We are now looking for a Surrogate ready to help us on this journey.

Letter to the Surrogate Mother

We would love to create a strong relationship between us and the Surrogate (her family too of course.) This person will be part our of life and the life of our child. We think it will be key for our child to understand where she/he is coming from and who the amazing people were helping along the way.

We have truly no words to express our sincere and deep gratitude towards the woman who will help us build our family.

From us, you can expect respect, compassion, and mutual trust. This is part of our values and we strongly think communication is key.

Regarding the family we are building, our child will grow in a loving and stable family. We value relationships in general, living surrounded by family and friends. We will educate our child the best we can, sharing the values of caring about each other and accepting differences.
