Hello there!
We don’t know each other yet, so let’s start with some introductions: we are a gay French/Dutch couple and we have been happily together for 13 years now. We met in Paris where Olivier (the French one) has always lived and where Cyrille (the Dutch one) moved for his studies and work. He also greatly improved his French and got to experience the metropolitan life in Paris.
We lived there together for several years before we decided to move, as we started to want some more space to live but also (important for Olivier) to have a house with a garden. As living close to the sea was appealing to the both of us, we decided to move to The Hague in the Netherlands in 2017. Now that we live in a place that we love and that we both have a job we like (Cyrille is a software developer for the Dutch Government and Olivier is a product manager for an HR- software company), we decided it was a good time to build a family. This has always been a great wish for both of us, which for a long time we thought would be impossible. As a gay couple we considered several options, but we quickly felt the need to have a biological link with the child. Hence, pursuing a surrogacy journey.
As future parents, it is incredibly important for us that during our journey we assure the best possible care for all parties involved: the well-being of the egg-donor and the Surrogate, the child and us. Canada is one of the rare countries in the world where a surrogacy journey is well developed with both a clear legal framework and solid medical support. Something that both France and The Netherlands are unfortunately lacking.
At this point in time we have 10 PGS tested embryos in Toronto. We are now looking forward to the next step in our journey of becoming parents: someone who is willing and can help us to carry our child throughout pregnancy. We are fully aware that we are asking a great deal from you and your family. That is why we wish to underline once again that we only work with agencies and a clinic of excellent reputation and that we will be by your side, supporting you every step on the way. Even living on the other side of the Atlantic, modern communication means reduce this distance and we are also not shy about taking a plane ride to be there in person. We are used to a lot of traveling and really enjoy doing so!
We really hope you are willing to help us in our journey to bring one new incredible human being to this planet: maybe a future awesome cook, a terrific astronaut, an amazing gardener or a science super hero... who knows? In any case someone that will have a caring and loving family, singing lullabies both in French and in Dutch, letting her or him also know where he or she came from, and how someone amazing in Canada has contributed to his or her coming into this world!
We are looking forward to getting to know you and having you along as such an important part in our adventure in becoming parents!
Warm regards,
Cyrille and Olivier
