Dear you who reads these lines,

It is not an easy task to write something personal to someone you do not know, and who does not know you either. Still, we hope these few words will make you want to get to know us more and maybe consider embarking with us on this journey to help us make our dream of having a child come true.

For as long as we can remember, both of us knew we wanted to become fathers one day. Shortly after we met mid-2018, we shared our mutual desire to become parents one day. We realized pretty soon that we wanted to be parents together and to give a child all the love, tenderness and care we have for each other!

We are both fulfilled in our personal and professional lives, surrounded by loving families and friends. Most of our close friends and siblings are parents, which also strengthens our desire to become parents ourselves, and they are all very supportive of our journey to fatherhood.

We were both raised in loving, open-minded and caring families and we aspire to offer our future children the same education and values (respect for others, open-mindedness, generosity, a taste for effort, appetite for culture and knowledge and proximity with nature) that we share.

Realizing our dream of becoming parents will deeply change our lives, which is what we are longing for. We cannot wait to begin this new and exciting chapter of our life!

Becoming fathers now feels within reach thanks to the help of a wonderful Canadian woman who helped us by donating eggs so we could create embryos. This has been so far the most generous act we have ever been given.

Despite this amazing gift, our journey still has a ways to go! Now the time has come for us to find another incredible woman who is willing to help us make our dream a reality.

How difficult must it be for you to choose between so many people who all aspire to become parents! We of course hope that our history, personalities and passion will speak to you and that you will want to get to know us a bit more!

To us, the act of carrying and giving birth to someone else’s baby is for sure an act of utmost generosity, which we need to admit we do not yet grasp the full magnitude.

We are looking forward to meeting the woman who decides to dedicate a part of her life, her physical and emotional energy to make our dream come true. We hope we will be able to build a close and friendly relationship with the woman who will carry and give birth to our child, based on mutual trust and open communication.

We hope reading this letter will move you as much as it did as we sit here writing it.

A très bientôt, nous l’espérons !

Alexis & Édouard
