Dear Surrogate,

Thank you so much for taking the time to help us or other folks start their family. While we hope you choose us, even if you work with someone else, you are an incredible person who is making a life-changing contribution to someone’s family. In other words, you are amazing. That being said, we are pretty awesome and we’re confident that once you get to know us (and our dogs District and Cookie) that you’ll want to embark on this epic journey with us 😊.

Our story begins as so many modern love stories do: on a dating app. And, as we’ll tell you when we meet for the first time, it actually took matching on two dating apps for Andy to convince Chuck to go out on our first date. The two of us met at a local brewery and it was clear from the start that we were meant for each other. Despite it being a work night, we spent four hours at that brewery talking, joking, and watching baseball.

Over the next four years, we began building our lives together and going on countless adventures. We love the outdoors and, particularly, the National Parks. We went to numerous coffee shops and book stores together. We showed each other our favorite restaurants around town. For Andy, that was Nico’s Tacos - a local Mexican Restaurant with fantastic burritos. For Chuck, that was the Little Oven - a local Italian Restaurant with delicious pizza. And we took several trips together. About two years after that first brewery date, we went to Norway together (for Andy’s first European trip). We took a brutally difficult hike to the top of a mountain in Bergen, Norway (with several local Norwegians sprinting past us) where Andy surprised Chuck with an engagement ring. Chuck said yes and we quickly started thinking about what our lives would look like together. For us, that future vision of our lives always included children of our own that we could love and care for.

In 2024, the two of us got married and we recently celebrated our first anniversary. We have “settled down” a bit and bought a house in the suburbs with a yard for our doggos and, with your help, our future children. Chuck has been spending his free time filling our home library with books, going to the gym, planning our next trip, and learning about the joys of home projects. Andy, meanwhile, has been working on building his vintage vinyl collection, playing retro video games, and planning what toys to buy for our dogs. Together, we hope to keep travelling, exploring nature, and figuring out what adventures we can take our future kids on.

As our Surrogate, we intend to fully support you before, during, and after pregnancy. We would like to be readily available to communicate with - this includes via texting, calling, video chat, in person, etc. We want to know how you’re doing, how you’re feeling, what’s going on in your life, how you feel the baby is doing, any news from clinic and doctor/ nurse visits, and how we can best help you out. We would love to get to know you and have you involved in our lives post-pregnancy. From our side of things, that could be as simple as a quick text update once in a while, or even meeting in person if you’re up for that. You are doing something incredible and selfless, and it’s our job to be there for you to the best of our ability!

We cannot wait to grow our family with a child that we can explore the world with. And, while our dogs will miss the constant attention that we currently provide them, we know that they’ll get over it quickly when they have a new friend to play with. We are so grateful to you for considering us and can’t wait to meet you. Thank you for helping bring our dreams of being dads come true.
