Dear Friend,

We hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits! First and foremost, we want to express our deepest gratitude for considering this incredible journey of becoming our surrogate. The opportunity to become parents is something we have longed for for such a long time, and your involvement in this process is invaluable. We cannot thank you enough for this gift you are offering us.

We understand that this is a monumental decision for you and your loved ones, and we recognized the physical, emotional, and time commitments involved. Your dedication to this process is a testament to your generous character and compassion, and we want you to know that we recognize that and we look forward to help support you and your family in any way we can.

To introduce you to our family, our names are Tyrone and Tony, and we are a same sex couple residing in Phoenix, Arizona with our 10 year old lovable tortoiseshell cat, Boba. We have been inseparable since we first met by chance during the Phoenix Pride Festival in 2014. Four years later, we had a lovely destination wedding in San Diego, California.

As a couple, we enjoy travelling, trying new foods, visiting with our families, gemology, attending plays and musicals, going to theme parks, and having game nights with close friends and their kids. At one point, before we met each other, we both lived in Orlando, Florida, the theme park capital of the world! As a result, we absolutely love roller coaster rides and everything Disney, including the movies, the parks, and especially the Disney songs! You’ll often hear a Disney movie reference or an impromptu rendition of a Disney song almost daily in our house!

Tyrone comes from a loving Filipino family with one younger brother. His parents are very active in the Catholic community in Lakeland, Florida. Although somewhat shy at first, he has several close friends that would describe him as funny, dependable, and trusting. Tyrone has been practicing as an optometrist for almost ten years and maintains a prominent leadership role with his company. He is a people person and enjoys working in the healthcare field where he receives many compliments for his wonderful bedside manner. Besides helping his patients, Tyrone enjoys problem-solving puzzles, entertaining, singing, cooking, and learning about different cultures and traditions. He imagines raising children in a very loving and supportive home and introducing them to the world’s many different cultures, especially that of the Philippines.

Tony grew up with his mother, father, and older brother and has a large extended family which includes 13 aunts and uncles with countless cousins! Tony has been an accountant for 15 years and is currently a senior accountant in the nephrology field. He enjoys watching American football and baseball, with his favorite team being the Chicago Bears. He has played some sports in school and was a player and volunteer for the Gay American Flag Football League as an adult. He has a free-spirited personality that allows him to talk and connect with anyone at a gathering. Tony is very close with his mom who lives nearby and is excited to be a grandma.

Growing up in a small town in Illinois, he would often help his grandmother babysit several of his baby cousins and kids in the neighborhood. He is no stranger to diaper changes and feedings! He dances daily around the house, and his silly and playful humor makes him a favorite amongst our friends’ kids. Even the most incredibly shy one, Olivia, warms up to him and feels at ease during the get-togethers.

In 2019, we attended the Men Having Babies Conference in Florida. There, we first encountered this new possibility of growing our family that we thought would not be possible. Now within reach, we are very close to making our dream a reality! It is because of your generosity, compassion, and kindness that we are able to make our family complete, which also sets a great example for our children to emulate.

We live in a family-friendly suburb surrounded by great schools with a library and a playground within walking distance. We have the support of our parents, eager to help with babysitting, our brothers, eager to be proud uncles, and our multitude of friends both near and far who are all raising children too. When we met our new neighbors who recently moved in, their son’s first question was if we had any children he could play with. We cannot wait for the day where we will be able to say, “Yes, we do!”

As intended parents, we assure you that we are committed to provide a nurturing and loving environment for our future children, filled with love, support, wonderful new experiences, and family traditions! We have dreamt of this moment for years and it fills our hearts with happiness to think about the life we will be able to offer our children.

Throughout this journey, we want to establish an open and honest line of communication with you. We believe that transparency is essential in building a strong foundation and maintaining a positive and healthy relationship. We are eager to learn more about you, your life, and your expectations for this experience. We are here to support you in any way we can, and we hope that we can develop a friendship based on trust and mutual respect.

Please know that we deeply appreciate your privacy and personal boundaries. We understand that this journey is unique and personal, and we will always prioritize your comfort and well-being. If there are any concerns, questions, or doubts you may have through this process, we encourage you to reach out to us.

In conclusion, we want to reiterate our profound gratitude for the incredible gift you are giving us. We are embarking on a journey that will be forever intertwined, and we hope to build some type of lifelong connection with you. Our dreams of becoming parents are coming true because of your extraordinary generosity, and we are forever grateful.

With heartfelt appreciation and warm regards,

Tyrone and Tony
