Tragically, they lost their daughter at 22 weeks of pregnancy. After suffering another loss, they were cautiously optimistic when they learned Marjolein was pregnant again. This pregnancy was also met with difficulty when Marjolein went into labour at just 28 weeks pregnant. She gave birth to their beautiful son Lux who spent almost 10 weeks in the hospital before finally coming home. Despite his difficult start in life, Lux is now a happy, healthy 5 year old.

Eric and Marjolein want nothing more than to give Lux a sibling but due to a uterine abnormality, the likelihood of another loss is exponentially higher.
