What Is A Doula?

A Doula is a birth companion who provides continuous support from preconception to pregnancy, labour, birth, and the postpartum period.

Doulas offer emotional support by empowering the birthing person, encouraging, and helping them understand situations. Doulas can share information with their clients and on medical options and procedures.
Doulas offer physical support such as massage, rebozo techniques and counter pressure. They can help create a calming environment.
Doulas can also suggest birthing techniques including positions, movement, relaxation techniques and more.

Although a doula will not speak to a care provider on your behalf, a Doula can help advocate for you by encouraging you to ask questions, ask for what you want, educate you about your options, and support YOUR decisions.

Fearless Doulas are more than just your average doulas. They carry multiple certifications and work together as a team to support you, your family, and each other.
Fearless Doulas are experienced in all types of pregnancies including surrogacy journeys, hospital births and home births.
Fearless Doulas can also offer full spectrum care and support from pre-conception through the postpartum period including bereavement and pregnancy loss support.

Fearless Surrogate Doula Services
Fearless Wellness Centre Ofers doula services in the Quinte region. We support surrogates and intended parents who plan to birth at home, or hospitals in Belleville, Kingston, Cobourg, and surrounding areas.
Your package includes:
2 Prenatal Visits with Surrogate
1 Prenatal Visit with Intended Parents (accommodations will be made for Intended Parents who are not local)
Unlimited telephone, text and email support for both Surrogate and Intended Parents
On Call Service 24/7 from 38 weeks gestation until birth
Continuous labour support
2 Postpartum Visits with Surrogate with one doula at each visit
1 Postnatal Visit with Intended Parents
Infant care and Infant Feeding Support for Intended Parents
Access to our lending library
Special pricing on prenatal and postpartum workshops
15% off additional reflexology and Reiki sessions, and personal training up to one year postpartum

Prenatal & Postpartum Services
Fearless values supporting their families through their entire journey. This includes exceptional postpartum care.
During your postpartum recovery, we want to ensure that you are receiving all the added support needed. We know this can be a difficult transition with added pressures and demands, and many physical and emotional changes. We want you to have the best postpartum recovery possible.
Our postpartum support services can include:
Sharing wisdom and information on ways to support the healing process after birth
Holding space, being present, and listening to you
Informing you of local resources, if needed
Infant care and feeding support
Grocery pickups
Light cleaning
And more
We offer packages of 10, 20, 50, and 100 hours of postpartum support. These packages can be used for up to a year postpartum.
We want you to know that we will support you in any way we possibly can.
Fearless Wellness Centre is pleased to offer services to compliment and support your pregnancy and postpartum period available only to Doula clients.

Yes! Our goal is to make your fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum journey as easy as possible.
Our centre can provide fertility support, counselling, massage therapy, workshops and classes, Reiki, reflexology, postpartum care, and so much more. As a Fearless client, our team already knows your story, your wants, and your needs so you don’t have to keep telling your story over and over.

Be matched with Doula(s) that can provide the best support and experience for you and your family

Yes! We try our best to match interested families with their preferred Doula, if the Doula’s schedule allows.
If you’d like to work with a specific Doula, please let us know on our Doula Interview Form or during your first meeting with Anna.

We understand that families place a lot of trust in us and their Doulas.
We do our very best to keep your Doula care consistent. However, families may see a different Fearless Doula if your assigned Doula is sick or away on an emergency. Our agency model allows you to always have access to someone if you need support, postpartum care, or overnight care, to name a few.
